Last Sunday, October 18, 2009, I received an email inviting me to join the WiFi launching at SM City Cagayan de Oro. I attended the event and it was fun. There was also a blog writing contest which I didn’t join because it was an on the spot blog writing contest which was also way out of may league in blogging (na mental block jud kay!)

Thank you very much SM City Cagayan de Oro for offering the free WiFi access. This is a great addition to your wonderful services to the people of Cagayan de Oro and other neighboring places. This will also add convenience, ease and and a more different experience while Shopping and Dining at SM City Cagayan de Oro.

THE 1st DC PHILIPPINES SKATEBOARD COMPETITION AND BMX DEMO last October 3, 2009 at the SM City Cagayan de Oro Las Ramblas Parking Lot between 10 am to 6pm. I was able to take a few snapshots of the event.

I was into BMX when I was in high school but then other priorities came in which ended me up in blogging and photography. So now, all those dreams and wishes to try any sports like bmx or skteboarding is just a click away. I may not be the one who is on that board or bike but then capturing the right action and exhilarating moment is a different sense of thrill and fun

Last Aug. 21-23, 2009, I was lucky enough to be invited by the Oro Photographic Society to have a fun-filled photo op at the National Horse Show Competition.  That was my first time ever to see a Horse Show Competition. It was a 3 day event which of course I never missed a day. There was endurance race on the first day, the obstacle run and the barrel competition. A lot of action and thrills made the crowd, (and me of course!) really excited and amazed.

I met Ryan, Rusty and the rest of the members of the group DIREHUSI when I was at the BOTO MO iPATROL MO event last July 29, 2009 at ABS-CBN Compound, Bulua Cagayan de Oro City. I was reluctant at first at these guys because they’re no ordinary like. I was struck and shock with their  braided and dread-lock hairs. Standing at a distant from the booth they stayed, I saw them painting each others faces and body. I noticed the Flag artwork and so I grabbed my camera and politely asked Rusty to take a photo of him. Then I met Ryan, the Kuya of the group. We chatted and he introduced  their group and their advocacy.

I admired these guys knowing that they are creative and a very good performers. Rusty, the one painted with a flag, has been performing a mime in Divisoria during Night Cafe and the last last months CDO Construction Expo. More power to you guys, don’t forget to invite me in every gigs you’ll have.

I would like to thank Juvie of million dollar thoughts for inviting me to the Boto Mo iPatrol mo event at ABS-CBN compound last July 29, 2009. I arrived at 10am which I thought earlier but then the said event started at 4am in the morning so I missed some of the exciting presentations already. I called Rob of  Himantayon nga Kagay – anon, Sanasanz and other CDOBloggers but then too bad they can’t make it earlier than 3pm   And so I ended up lurking around trying to meet new faces and acquaintances.

The said event encouraged people to register and vote for the 2010 election. COMELEC was there and facilitated the registrations.

At the same time, there were STI volunteers who also facilitated the Boto Mo Patroller registration.

While the COMELEC and BOTO MO Patrollers registration is on going, ABS-CBN CDO prepared a live entertainment, fun and games, live band and more. There was even a live ‘Wanted Palangga’ (a famous dating game of MOR FM station).

Last Sunday, I was lucky enough to be invited at SM City Cagayan de oro SM Stylistas event which highlights 6 clothing company such as Bench, Folded & Hung, Human, Maldita, and I forgot the two others. Please leave a comment for the other one if you knew it.

I was overwhelmed by the models and their talents. They definitely did a good job in the catwalk. Hmmm, Me and my camera were busy capturing all the good angles I could have however I was a bit upset because I was having a difficulty in shooting in low light [I shouldn't have lost my speedlite !:(] Thanks to Rhonson Ng for the tips which he had shared the day before the event at Grand Caprice.

The event was a great experience for me as I am a photography newbie. I was able to practice in taking a good shoot, composition, angles, camera handling and a lot more. Wow! that was fun and a great avenue for enhancing my creative photography skills  (as if I have one! LOL).

I also had the opportunity to meet people like Mike Sia, the one who invited me to the SM Stylistas event, Jasper, Inez, Bianca, Jet, Claire, Jessa, and some of the models. I glad I met you guys.

While I was busy on some other things, I’ve had an ample of time to point and shoot things that bothers me which enabled me to advance my skills in using my digital camera. I learned that photography is not that simple point and shoot any subjects you want you have to think of something creative that has a drama in the scene which draws attention to the viewer’s perspective.

From now on, I will be posting all the photos I took while I was off to my real world. To start with, check out this digitally enhanced photo below of my friend from Himantayon nga Kagay-anon on the rocks.  (feel na feel kaau niya dah)
