Nature Spring in Claveria, Mis. Or.

Last sunday, a text message woke me up very early in the morning. And you know what is says “Wakeup na U kay laag ta sa Claveria. naay fuls didto” (you wakeup we will go to Claveria. There’s a fall there.) I simply grabbed my bag and packed a few things. I didn’t even bother to take a bath. I brought my camera with me and went out to find a taxi.

I met him along Lapasan Highway with some friends and cousins. Around 10:00 am we departed CDO and traveled. It took us an hour and a half to arrive at Claveria, Misamis Oriental. That was my very first time to visit the place. Claveria is a mountanous area. Going there means going up and up. No long straight road, just curves and 10-40 degrees road going up. While traveling, you will see a very scenic view overlooking the Macajalar Bay and a few parts of Cagayan de Oro and Tagoloan.

When we arrived at Janopolan, Claveria, Misamis Oriental, I was a bit disappointed because I did not find any falls in the area. However, a lush green vegetation and the cool breeze of fresh air greeted me. I roam around the place which is called “Janopolan Nature Spring and Pool” (what a name! tsk tsk stk) and took a few pictures.

This place is just another ordinary place to unwind and relax. The only thing that is very unique on this place is when you plunge into the water. I wouldn’t recommend diving into the pool immediately. Or else you will sure say “atay, bugnawa uy!” (What the F, so cold.) Yeah, I am not joking. The water is like icy cold drinks but it’s the best place o cool down this summer!
